HISTORY

After having stayed in South Africa for more than one year lots of people have been touched by the transformation of Nosiku. She was so passionate for children and mostly the most vulnerable like street kids and the homeless, that she couldn’t remain inactive to the suffering of the people of God. She would go out on the street and distribute bread and share the word of God with them.

She was the volunteer and responsible of the Sunday school of Church of Peace (Friendskirche) in Hillbrow, she also worked for the music centre of the Lutheran Community Outreach Foundation in Hillbrow. Even pastor Kees Appelo of the Church of Peace has been touched by her humbleness.

For instance, Nosiku has always related her spiritual leadership and growth to her connection to St. Peters by the Lake, where Edwin Dedekind is the pastor. She mentioned that he “has a passion for the youth to grow in faith”. Also the participation of Nosiku in different leadership programmes of St Peters Church to empower the youth is for her a pivotal master piece for values and ethics to serve the Lord.

Hence, she participated in the Kailager young adult Christian camp, the alpha course, the co-worker training camp and on many other occasions, she would never miss an opportunity to participate in any other empowerment programmes of St. Peters and Church of Peace in Hillbrow. She even always encourages her friends to do so.

Brilliant as she is, Nosiku could have decided to stay in South Africa to study and work and enjoying the comfort of the Dalka’s Family offered to her. However, she said that the “calling of God is to be where she comes from”, one of the poorest countries on the African continent and the world, Zambia.

Her objective is to contribute to the eradication of poverty not only by words, but in active participation. She always said: “Jesus tells us to act and not to be a spectator”. Her conviction made her so strong that she left South Africa to start a ministry to help the children of Choma, which lies in a Southern Province of Zambia, on the road from Livingstone to Lusaka.
