visiting two at-risk households weekly (eight monthly), caring for the household members in aspects of health, food, spiritual input and social re-integration, so that they regain their dignity.

Homeless Talk

Current state

Most Vulnerable

we help the households by cleaning their surroundings, attending their needs (health, social and hunger), taking time listening and talking, leaving them with a supply of food for a week, teaching and motivating neighbours to take care of these vulnerable for the remaining weeks of the month. We have 10 committed volunteers that do this form of outreach every Friday morning.

Homeless

sharing monthly fellowship meals, our Youth Group visits the homeless weekly sharing in discussions, prayer and sometimes food. The feedback from the homeless community has been very fruitful and their needs are being heard and attended to. The team has 10 committed and 3 occasional volunteers that go out every Friday night to visit the community of 30 homeless people.

Accompaniment Program

we hold this program at the Mwapona Community School every Tuesday afternoon with 77 children in our registry and 12 committed volunteers (youth and adults) as tutors. The results of the children have greatly improved, especially once the Feeding Program was also introduced into this activity. The teachers have notice less dropouts and positive feedback in regards to marks and attentiveness.
