Youth
Aim
Offering a safe and productive environment where youths learn life skills, education training in various aspects with the aim to empower them holistically and live a meaningful life.
Objective
Offering weekly activity for youth aging from 15 to 25. There is no exclusion of participants and the size of the youth activities is dependent on resources.
Activities
- Education training: Free Computer Course; Socio-economic Justice Training (SEJ); personal financial management; music lessons for both youth and adults (the later two have not yet been implemented)
- Careers guidance seminar to facilitate professional orientation
- Talent discovery and enhancement: sports; arts and craft; singing, drama, dancing etc.
- Entertainment and leisure (it is important to develop such environment where youth can enjoy life safely without drugs, alcohol and sex)
- Promoting community awareness: Human Rights (focus youths and children); Health Issues (sexuality, HIV/AIDS)
- Theological reflection, movie review and panel discussions
- Coming together once a month to have fellowship and share a meal
Frequency
All training is done at the Mmabana Office, such as SEJ that is held every Wednesday. The Free Computer Course runs on Monday and Thursday in the morning and afternoon. For other activities such as leisure, sports or events the youth gather at Mwawaggali Institute or the designed venue on a Saturday afternoon.

- National Youth Day and Integrated Development process organized by municipal council,
- Most of the Youth are the benevolent Volunteers on Outreach program and other project where volunteers are needed.

Currently
We have a strong youth group of about 20 committed youth and a total of 30. These receive training through our workshops and courses whilst participating as volunteers in other activities of MCOP. At the moment we offer them the Free Computer Course and Socio-economic Justice Training.
